Basic Needs Center Online Referral Form

A.S. Food Pantry: Open three days a week on our San Diego Campus. Please encourage all students, regardless of need, to utilize the food pantry as a way to stretch their food budget. The Food Pantry is no questions asked, and all that is ever required is that a student has a valid RedID and that they bring a reusable bag. The A.S. Food Pantry will be open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays on the second floor of the Student Union. 

SDSU Imperial Valley Food Pantry: Open for students to visit in the library next to the ID Card Office. Students may visit once per week for a full bag of food, or everyday for a snack bag. The Food Pantry is open Tuesday and Wednesday 9 am - 12 pm and 1 pm - 4 pm, Thursday 9 am - 12 pm and 1 pm - 8 pm and Friday 9 am - 12 and 1 pm to 4 pm.  They also have hygiene kits available that students can pick up once per month.

SDGE CARE: Students may be eligible to receive a discount on their monthly energy bill (electricity and gas). If a student is currently receiving public assistance (like CalFresh), or recently lost their job, they may qualify for this discount. Even if they receive unemployment benefits, their household income as of today may qualify them to receive 30% or more off their bill.
